It is with deep and overwhelming sorrow that the family announces the passing of Jacob Wayne Wallace, a cherished 13-year-old whose bright spirit touched countless lives. Jacob passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of joy, kindness, and love that will forever be remembered by all who knew him. His loss has created a profound emptiness in the hearts of his family, friends, classmates, and community.
A service to honor and celebrate Jacob’s life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM in Martin & Castille’s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette. There, loved ones will come together to reflect on Jacob’s life, share treasured memories, and support one another during this time of unimaginable grief. The family will receive visitors at Martin & Castille Funeral Home’s Southside location on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
The funeral will be officiated by Pastor Chris Reis of Our Savior’s Church in Youngsville, who will offer words of comfort and remembrance. His message will pay tribute to Jacob’s vibrant personality, his loving heart, and the joy he brought into the world.
Jacob is survived by his devoted parents, Steven and Jessica Wallace, who are deeply grateful for the compassion and support shown by their community. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Stella Wallace, who held a special bond with her brother and will forever carry his memory with her. His grandmothers, Cindy Beaumont and Claudia Wallace, shared a close and cherished relationship with Jacob and mourn his loss alongside the family.
He is also survived by his aunts—Stacy Wallace, Amber Wallace, and Rachel Beaumont—and his uncles—Scott Wallace and Bobby Beaumont—as well as a large circle of cousins: Morgan Wallace, Alex Ross, Ava Moreau, Cody Wallace, William Wallace, Anthony Beaumont, and E.J. Beaumont. Each remembers Jacob as a joyful, funny, and affectionate presence who brought warmth and laughter to family gatherings.
Jacob now joins his maternal grandfather, Bob Beaumont, and his paternal grandfather, Donald Wallace, who preceded him in passing. The family takes comfort in knowing that he is reunited with them in peace.
A lifelong resident of Broussard, Jacob was an eighth-grade student at Broussard Middle School, where he was known for his enthusiasm, humor, and kind spirit. He loved being a part of the school wrestling team, where he showed determination and teamwork. He also enjoyed playing the saxophone in the school band and found joy in music, video games, and time spent with family and friends. Jacob had a gift for making people laugh; his quick wit and warm personality made him loved by many. He had a natural ability to brighten any room he entered.
